Welcome to the Winter edition of the Eagleye, that time of year when real men don their Movember ‘attire’ and of course a Santa disguise!  Or is that just me?

Having just learnt of the CO’s impending departure, ‘out with the old and in with the new’ might not be the most appropriate turn of phrase when telling you of the stratospheric change your Eagleye magazine is about to undergo.  However, while I might exaggerate a tad, change is coming, and 2014 will see the launch of a new bi-monthly magazine.   It will also come with a brand new cover and some interesting new features, including a dedicated sports roundup and ‘Have Your Say’, a space in which you can contribute to the magazine with something you’d like to share with everyone; maybe something funny, perhaps something thought provoking.  You can even send in a photograph you’d like to share.

And so to this edition of Eagleye.  In what is our biggest ever magazine, you will find all manner of articles reminding you of the many events that have taken place over the past few months, including details of our charity efforts which, as always, show just how much we care about those less fortunate than ourselves, something we should all be very proud of.

Putting the Eagleye together would be so much more difficult without the contribution from Station personnel, so keep telling us what’s happening in your neck of the woods.  It would also be a lot less colourful if it wasn’t for the fantastic support we get from Andrew Reed, Lindsay Reeves and Alex Cave, our resident Station photographers – a thousand thanks!

It just remains for me to wish all our readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
